so it's not so clear cut as you might think because many in fact all of the techniques I've seen taught in traditional samurai schools... they're taught over in the traditional ninja schools, right down to keeping the sun at your back in a sword fight... they got that from the Hagakure because it's sort of a good idea to blind your opponent and in fact according to Tanemura... the samurai later adopted shuriken from the ninja
