everybody see how that works... in my school, those gloves are 1st Kyu, blue katana is 2nd Kyu, red katana is 3rd kyu, black katana is black belt... white belt is Godan Budokan; Ronin is Soke Budokan, Yossi is Shidoshi Budokan
